Company Policy & Code of Conduct- Octa Tech
1. Introduction
This Company Policy outlines the standards of conduct, responsibilities, and expectations applicable to all employees, interns, consultants, and associated personnel of Octa Tech.
All individuals associated with the Company are required to read, understand, and strictly adhere to these policies. Non-compliance may result in disciplinary action, including termination.
2. Working Hours & Attendance

Official working hours are 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday to Saturday (unless otherwise notified).

Employees are expected to report to work on time and maintain punctuality.

If assigned tasks remain incomplete, employees may be required to extend working hours beyond 6:30 PM without additional compensation.

Repeated late reporting, habitual absenteeism, or leaving early without approval will be treated as misconduct.

Unauthorized absence for more than 2 consecutive working days may be treated as job abandonment.
3. Leave Policy

Employees are entitled to 2 paid leaves per month, strictly for emergency purposes.

Leaves must be applied for in advance wherever possible.

In case of emergency leave, immediate notification to the reporting manager is mandatory.

Unapproved or excessive leave may result in salary deduction and disciplinary action.
4. Performance Expectations

Employees are required to meet assigned targets and performance benchmarks.

Salary disbursement may be linked to performance evaluation as per company policy.

Continuous underperformance, negligence, or lack of improvement after warnings may result in disciplinary action or termination without notice.
5. Code of Conduct
All employees are expected to maintain professional behavior at all times.
A. Workplace Behaviour

Maintain respect, professionalism, and cooperation with colleagues and management.

Any form of harassment, intimidation, bullying, or threatening behavior is strictly prohibited.

Misconduct with any employee, client, or third party will invite strict action.
B. Language & Communication

Use of abusive, offensive, defamatory, or inappropriate language is strictly prohibited.

Employees must maintain decorum in verbal, written, and digital communication.
C. Dress Code

Employees must adhere to a formal or semi-formal dress code.

Inappropriate, casual, or unprofessional attire is not permitted during working hours.
6. Confidentiality & Data Protection
Employees shall:

Not disclose or share any confidential company information, including:

Client data

Internal documents

Financial data
-
Login credentials
-
Trade strategies
-
Source codes or digital assets
-

Not copy, transfer, or misuse company data during or after employment.

Use company systems strictly for official purposes.
Any data breach, intentional or negligent, may result in immediate termination and legal action.
7. Use of Company Assets

Company devices, software, and digital platforms must be used responsibly.

Unauthorized installation of software, data transfer, or external storage usage without approval is prohibited.

Upon termination, all assets must be returned immediately.
8. Conflict of Interest
Employees shall not:

Engage in competing business activities.

Work with competitors directly or indirectly.
-
Misuse company resources for personal financial gain.
9. Social Media Conduct

Employees must not post confidential or internal company information online.

Public statements that damage the reputation of the Company may invite disciplinary action.
10. Disciplinary Action
Violation of company policies may result in:

Verbal warning

Written warning
-
Salary deduction
-
Suspension
-
Termination (with or without notice depending on severity)
The Company reserves full discretion in determining disciplinary measures.
11. Termination
Employment may be terminated:

For misconduct or breach of policy (without notice)

For habitual late reporting or absenteeism

For breach of confidentiality

As per terms mentioned in the Offer Letter
12. Policy Amendments
Octa Tech reserves the right to modify, update, or revise this policy at any time without prior notice. Continued employment constitutes acceptance of such changes.
13. Employee Acknowledgment
All employees are required to acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by this policy.
